Julian, a graduate in Business Finance, has been a proprietary trader for over 18 years. He has traded the G7 macro markets including fixed income, foreign exchange, stock indicies and commodities. During his career he has spent time working for HSBC, Citibank and Erste Bank. Julian currently splits his time between trading his own money and working at Genesis Energy in Auckland on the Derivatives trading desk.

Julian will talk about trading using technical analysis. He will discuss the anatomy of a taking a position from identifying the environment for a successful trade, putting the trade on and managing the trade once established. He will share some of the lessons that he has learnt.

Having traded through many of the market rallies and collapses he will show how sticking to simple ideas that work is still a valid strategy.
