Dow and SPI200 Indices, Gold and Oil: Andrew Gibbs will provide insights into the direction of these indices through the application of public and commercial activity and seasonal patterns to complement conventional technical analysis.

Book Review: Malcolm Boyd will review “The Successful Investor” By William O Neil also author of “How to make money in stock”. Malcolm will give us the points of what 80 million people need to know to invest profitably and avoid big losses.

Follow up: Roy Bishop will review and demonstrate a chart with using Tolly Sakellariou method. We were unable to do this last month.


A month in the life of……….

John Flynn will discuss with us some of the many opportunities to trade the markets. John holds the ATAA Diploma in Technical Analysis and is one of the founding members of STANZ.

John has been investing in shares for many years. With the advent of CFD’s, has been involved with them since the introduction with “Deal For Free”. Over the last two years he is becoming a much shorter term trader and now developing the skill necessary for trading the Currency Markets. John has been self employed for a number of years managing his investment portfolio, which also includes a range of properties.

Having recently received the comment “What is worse the Weather or the Markets.” John feels it is timely to discuss some aspects of “trading” that many overlook. How best to manage risk.

For our evening John will discuss the trading of shares and means of hedging your portfolio in adverse conditions. John will also provide an introduction to trading the Aussie 200, UK100 and US30 indexes and follow up with some currency action. Many of the examples will have involved actual trades over the last month. Please feel free to ask question.
