Colin Nicholson on A Strategy for the Times.

Topic Description: Colin will introduce you to a unique aspect of his investment approach, which is centred on the management of risk. The starting point is market risk – the risk inherent in where we are in the cycle of bull-bear market phases. Colin will take us through a workshop-style examination of where we are now and from that derive a strategy for dealing with the opportunities and challenges for 2007. This will centre on his market exposure strategy, but will also touch on stock selection policy.

Speaker: Colin Nicholson BEc SF Fin has taught both fundamental and technical analysis for the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). He is a past president and life member of the Australian Technical Analysts Association. Colin has written three books: The Aggressive Investor, The Psychology of Investing and Hot Stocks. He writes a weekly column in Tuesday’s Market Wrap section of the Australian Financial Review, reviewing markets and interesting shares. He also writes regularly for AFR Smart Investor, his own free email newsletter and his website www.bwts.com.au He has previously written a column for BRW, columns and articles for Shares magazine and the four Shares Charting Guides. Colin is totally independent. He is not reliant on brokers, financial planners or company management for information or commissions of any kind. He does not sell anything other than his writing and teaching

On Saturday 17 February Colin will be holding a one day seminar on HOT STOCKS FOR 2007 at the Kingsgate Convention Centre on Campbell Road Onehunga for $250 for STANZ members and $280.00 for non members.
